What bugs you when online Kaleuns?
Is it when using Messenger and the person is 'available' but doesn't respond when you message them?
Or is it when people always type 'lol', for instance: "Today i went and drove my mum to work lol", as if that's funny.
Or people begging for 'thumbs-ups' on youtube vids.
What annoys you? Rant away...
Threads that ask people to rant about what bugs them:O:

A: lol, :D but you can't imagine what happened few months ago (explains)
B: ahahhahahahaha, it would be funier if XY would have hapened :D

Old standards:
POSTING IN ALL CAPS. USED TO HAVE A DISPATCHER THAT WOULD DO THIS, AND HE NEVER COULD UNDERSTAND WHY WE ASKED WHY HE WAS YELLING AT US.
Or forum posts that seem to be posted by a 6 year old. Ok, I understand some shorthand, and smilies, cause that just makes things easier. But for christs sake, use sentences and punctuation. Language barriers are one thing, and can be worked with. Ignorance cannot.

*excessive OMGOMGOMG
*when people sets themselves as available on msn but are actually AFK (it makes me paranoid sometimes...)
*when someone on msn says brb/afk, then disappears off msn after a while and never return for hours without popping in a reason, it makes me paranoid or worried that **** had hit the fan on their end or that it's something I said |:
*trolls
*excessive capslocking when it's not really -that- necessary (happens a fair few times on a forum I moderate)
*when people try to take moderator matters into their own hands and start stupid wars/hate club against trolls and stuff and drag their friends into it
oh yeah and I hate chainmails and stuff that says crap like 'OMG you MUST read this or a crazyass clown with a chainsaw will come and kill you in your sleep!!11!ONE'

Agree to a certain extent. Not trying to go off tangent here or be arguementative but not all kids want to see stuff like that.
Infact, it's not just the swear words that get me, it's also the racist remarks, Nazi sympathising and personal attacks that get me more.

The internet should be licensed, and have a minimum age limit of say 18 (but ideally 25) - if you don't vote, drive, pay taxes or the phone/internet bill then stay offline. Unless you're one of the more sensible, mature youths we have here at subsim.com - so maybe a test would be more appropriate, with regular checks?

This I can agree with. The internet is not safe for kids and should not be ever considered safe for kids. The internet is for adults. I hate when changes to the internet are made in the name of "keeping our children safe".
Bovine Faeces! Kids don't need an internet, kids need a controlled intra-net.
But don't infringe on what I, as an adult, can do on something as huge as the Internet Tubes, just because some parent can't control their "precious little angel".

As a sidebar to annoying Youtube comments, I'd like to add a mention of unintended hilarity, as a bit of a tension breaker, perhaps.
For those of us who remember or know of a movie called "Cabaret" - the 1972 movie version with Liza Minelli, Michael York, and Joel Grey - there's a scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMVql9RLP34) wherein two of the characters are at a pub in pre-WW2 Germany. For those who don't, a quick summary: While the two characters are there, a young man rises and begins singing a song, ("Tomorrow Belongs to Me"), in a clear, strident voice. As the camera pulls back from his face, the viewer discovers that the lad is dressed in Nazi attire, and the song is, ostensibly, some Nazi piece. The lyrics of the song (in English) become militant-sounding as more people in the pub pick up the song until the whole place, minus the two main characters and one old man, are on their feet and singing, as the lad who led the thing presents the extended-arm salute. The main characters depart hastily, one remarking to the other, "So you still think you can control them?"
The whole scene is, when you're watching it, a demonstration of nationalism going terribly wrong, leading the nation towards war, without once showing a gun or a weapon or marching troops. It's a very artfully done scene, very powerful.
So. On YouTube, you can often find this scene, in various languages, taken from the movie. (As an aside, a warning to our German friends - in the linked version here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMVql9RLP34), the scenes have not had the swastika redacted, so I don't know if you're able to link, or should - I just don't know, so I'm adding this note because I don't know if that's a problem, and don't want anyone in trouble if it is.)
Now, the part that is, at least to me, somewhat (hilarious isn't the right word, somehow, but I can't think of what the right word is) is this. Invariably, when this scene is posted, the pro-Nazi idiots come out of the woodwork, spouting double Hs, or 88s, or whatever idiotic BS white supremacist racist nonsense like they do. This is the unintentionally funny point, because, like good little racists everywhere, they line up and drink their kool-aid and never question the authenticity of their little anthem... written by two Jewish guys for the poignantly anti-Nazi film. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068327/trivia?tr=tr0686370)
So yeah, jerk-faced comments are gonna happen, but sometimes, it's nice to see the idiots come out of the woodwork so that we can more easily spot them.

My annoying habit is correcting the grammar/spelling Nazis... such as I don't believe that semicolon works where you suggested
Semicolon
Use a semicolon to join 2 independent clauses when the second clause restates the first or when the two clauses are of equal emphasis.
Road construction in Dallas has hindered travel around town; streets have become covered with bulldozers, trucks, and cones.
Use a semicolon to join 2 independent clauses when the second clause begins with a conjunctive adverb (however, therefore, moreover, furthermore, thus, meanwhile, nonetheless, otherwise) or a transition (in fact, for example, that is, for instance, in addition, in other words, on the other hand, even so).
Terrorism in the United States has become a recent concern; in fact, the concern for America's safety has led to an awareness of global terrorism.
Use a semicolon to join elements of a series when individual items of the series already include commas.
Recent sites of the Olympic Games include Athens, Greece; Salt Lake City, Utah; Sydney, Australia; Nagano, Japan.
Since "ignorance can not." does not stand on its own as a separate sentence, you can't join it with a semicolon.
"Language barriers are one thing and can be worked with, but ignorance cannot." would be my suggested fix, or "Language barriers are one thing and can be worked with; however, ignorance cannot be worked with."
:D

In all honesty, were it not for the OWL, I'd be dead in the water when it comes time to format citations.
One thing, though. It what manner would you argue that the phrase, "Ignorance can not" could not stand alone as a sentence? I see "ignorance" as a noun in this case, and "can not" as the verb; would that not comprise a complete sentence, similar to a statement such as, "I ran?"

To me it makes no sense as a stand-alone sentence (an independent clause). It has no predicate... ignorance can not.. can not what exactly? So it is telling us nothing.

People that use something like Twitter to narate their lives. I honestly doubt the world cares to know how long you were on the toilet, or what you had for breakfast.
In addition to alternating caps and substituting letters, numbers and symbols, I'd add intentionally (and continuously) misspelling words. And multiple question or exclamation marks in a row.
Modders (or any entity) putting their "names" in their projects' titles irks me as well.
