Man this creeps me out on so many levels. I cant wrap my head around it. How does a fungus, a non sentient being control an ant?:hmmm:

Spooky, enit?

Now imagine that those fungus-controlled ants are fire ants... then they crawl into your ear, and burrow into your brain, and then the fungus takes over your brain...

Well, the whole argument about how it works can be summed in the final argument:

Well, that about wraps it up for God. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babel_fish_%28The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Gala xy%29#Babel_fish)

I recall seeing pictures of the ants with the fungus growing out of cracks in their heads...it's...terrifying.

Nature can be a lot scarier than any sci-fi film, that's for certain...primarily because it's real. :dead:

Funghi must not necessarily be bad if attacking insects:

Seems at leats this time they might get to results without human suffering ("operation paperclip" anyone ?)
