Voyager has determined the velocity of the solar wind at its location has now slowed to zero. Very simply put, Voyager has reached the domain where the solar wind is starting to turn back on itself as it pushes up against the particles of interstellar space.

Holy ****. So far away that the sun doesn't matter.

In the next few years, Voyager will reach true Interstellar space and Voyager II isn't that far behind (only 3 million km behind Voyager).

Great going NASA...

... now lets just hope neither befalls the same fate as Pioneer 10... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOqoljJ0ees)

I hope there are'nt any young disgruntled Klingon Captains out therer in a Bird of Pray that could blow it up...:arrgh!: I wonder if the events in Star Trek the Motion picture will come true one day :88)

It's amazing that it's still on the go :salute:

Cheers
