Hi all,:salute:

I am a noob to subsim, having just registered, but have all the versions of SH and used to play them regularly before getting hooked on eve-online. I think this was in part due to SH5 and the problems with my favourite version SH3 with GW expansion and its compatibility [or should I say Starforce compatibility] with a 64 bit version of Windows vista and now 7. :damn: I never got hooked on SH4 either but have just started delving in to it. I've just done a fresh install and patched to 1.4 but might leave it at that for the moment as I have a new hard drive and need to rebuild my PC.

As I am new to modding, except for installing GW could anyone give me some idiot proof step by step instructions on how best to install some of the mods after a clean install and patching to v1.4 and which mods are a must for improving the gaming experience in SH4.

Any advice much appreciated,

Thanks

Dave

Ola!

Most of the Mod forums have FAQ's for each mod, and using JSGME will help a lot! (it comes with the latest GWX download, but you can tweak it to mod most games)

Welcome aboard :salute:

Like Gargamel said, JSGME is the only recommended way to add mods, it makes it simple to use...

Towards the bottom of the first post is a link to the JSGME online user guide (it's your friend).
