Ok, Ive been working on completing part 2 of the campaign for a couple days (real days, not in-game days). Ive sunk more than was needed of 100k tons (took me 4 patrols), atleast I think I have. Im pretty sure Ive sunk 50k off the british coast.
I go back into port and now, NOTHING, the only option is to redo the same damn missions all over again, which I have completed 6 months prior to the dead line. My best guess is to sit around with my finger up my ass til the deadline comes, but I have NO clue on how to get to part 3 of the U-Boat campaign as there are few, if not, no walkthroughs when I goog "SIlent Hunter 5 Walkthrough"
Perhaps, somehow, I didnt sink enough off the british coastal waters? I got a cross on my campaign progress as if I did though, and have another cross for the Supply Route.
I am stuck as far as I can tell.
edit: For Jan 12th 1940, Ive sunk so much tonnage of ships it would put the BEST German WWII U-Boat Ace of the entire war, in real life, to shame for his war total, 270,xxx tons and the war began only 4 months ago. I fail to see why I can not advance after sinking all those merchants and Destroyers.

Ok I just figured out the 3rd mission in the campaign and that I have to request it.
Now Im working on finding the AMC ships.
In all my game-time months of patroling Ive ran into a carrier ONCE and it was surrounded by a buttload of destroyers. I still have yet to find a AMC, but Im researching it on these forums.
edit: Ok, Im going to sleep. Ive spent the last hour patrolling 3 different areas in a rectangle/square pattern until it finally told me to come back to base. Im guessing I failed the mission. Any ideas on how to find the AMC ships or the aircraft carrier, or should I forget the patrol areas and go looking around for these ships?

The deadline for the caarrier and AMC ships is Mar. 01, 1940. Id make a save with a few months time left, and look for the carrier in area specified by mission. Good luck with that ha! And for the AMC ships, just patrol where the route is specified on the mission tab, they will come.
Good Luck.

The carrier search area is in the Western Approaches. Zoom the nav map out and select that mission and you'll see the red circle off the south coast of Ireland.
If you sink ships that count towards one target whilst having requested a patrol from one of the others, that ship still counts (for example I just sank an aircraft carrier in that designated zone while actually on a patrol from the British Supplies mission. The aircraft carrier I sank still counts towards the Blockade of Germany mission requirements).
I've caught a couple of AMC's goign into and out of Loch Ewe in the past by the way.
Good hunting!!

In the select campaign screen just type silentotto and presto all campaigns will be available to you

First you will need JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME) v2.5 (link to forum thread ----> http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=171237 ).
Make sure that you install it correctly.
And for mods made by Thedarkwraith, you will need to unrar them and then open the folder. Inside you will find a mods folder, open this folder and drag the mods from inside to your JSGME MODS folder (this folder should be inside your SH5 directory)
then enable mods throught JSGME and then launch SH5.
Hope this helps.
Is there no mod that gives you a SH3 style campaign, like just go here and return?
Although for that you would have to have grids...

You can already do this. just ignore the wider mission objective and patrol the area that you are told. the game will still advance even if you dont complete the wider objective. This is how i play the game. :yep:
