If you have Sky or ,I think Virgin media in the UK, you can catch the new series "How to command a nuclear submarine" from next Monday on the Military History channel. Find out more here (http://tv.sky.com/how-to-command-a-nuclear-submarine). An article about the series courtesy of the Metro newspaper can be found here (http://www.metro.co.uk/tv/857004-how-to-command-a-nuclear-submarine-turned-into-tv-series).

Same here unfortunately, hopefully it will appear on DVD or youtube at some point. The BBC I think did much the same show about 25 years ago and it was very good. I'm doubly interested since the Perisher test featured generally takes place virtually on my doorstep by the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde.

UPDATE

here is a link to some clips from the old BBC perisher series on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1wr8J-edbo)

This fascinates me. The Perisher course in renown. Below is a link to a column about the 1st USN officer on the course.
