View Full Version : A sweeping survey of Americans' sexual behavior
Among the findings of a sweeping federal government survey of American sexual behavior is one that may surprise those bewailing a permissive and eros-soaked popular culture: More than one-quarter of people interviewed in their late teens and early 20s had never had sex.

I say its porn
Remember American Pie 1? The whole central conflict of the story would not have existed if the main characters knew that there were things called "search engines" out there
Look around, more than 25% of that age group is pretty unattractive. Maybe they're too fat to get laid (though based on the way I see teen girls dress, they must think rolls of fat are HOT).

Yea, when I was in school you had maybe a few fat, genetics, today when I take my son to school, bet 50% are fat. I guess the only good news is being fat doesn't seem to have much effect on getting laid, bring the flour and have a good time.
25% not getting laid means the othre 75% have.....

The latest results provide support for the idea that some teens limit their sexual activity to oral sex either to preserve their virginity or because they view such encounters as safe
Where were these girls when I went to High School? :damn:
:D
25% really surprises me actually, I thought the number would be a lot lower, I know umm, 3 people my age from a high school of 600 that have not had sex. But perhaps that's also where I grew up, as the Mid-West is also the fat-belt and std-belt of America

Of course, this is all based on what the teens choose to answer on a survey. What is the probability that a teenager will answer sexual questions truthfully?
That's the weakness of such instruments. What people say and what is the truth may or may not be closely related.
It has been my experience both professionally and academically, that the longer you work with survey instruments, the less you can rely on them.
