I run SH5 on a Win7 64bit System with ServicePack 1 installed. I don't have any Problems.

On my desk top all went fine with Service pack 1 install
however on my lap top it crashed out on the restart and I had to
remove the service pack 1 install to make it work again.
My desk top is a clean windows 7 install But my lap top was
a vista upgrade to windows 7 so I wipe the lap top and started
again with just Windows 7 install. and then loaded service pack 1
and it worked without any problems at all. :hmmm:
So beware if you have an upgrade version as this might cause problems ??

i am not sure that all users had the same problem but seems that some people experience some issues with sp1 - in my case sp1 slow down my pc in sh5

On the desk top machine it reduced the amount a active ram used
from 21% down to 19% for some reason. but I have not noticed any
slow down while playing any game :hmmm:
Even if I had some troubles with the latest updates, I tried SP1. Now, I cant play anything anymore. In SH5 I got 1 fps and took me about 10 minutes to move the mouse over the Exit Game button, another 5 to actually exit the game. This is very weird as only in games I got this lag, otherwise everything runs smooth as butter. Is like playing games with an old AGP card, I cannot imagine wtf cause this ....
Later Edit: found the bummer, was the damn MS Essentials that caused the huge lag. After uninstall, the rig is running smooth again. Still have small lag spikes in SH5 time by time, but nothing serious. Anyway, is hard to understand why SH5 is such a resource sucker compared to any other game.. there is only water and clouds all around.

I also had problems. I installed SP1 last night and windows froze up upon restarting. I had to use windows "launch repair" and System Restore to roll back. System Restore left SP1 installed but uninstalled 3 previous "important updates". This is on a totally clean non-OC system. I have not tested any games yet.

Yes when I rolled back my system it seemed like it had not uninstalled
properly so that's why I reinstalled windows 7 not the upgrade pack :hmmm:.

Yep.. SP1 the game stutters like crazy on the bridge and once I get down the ladder to the con room it freezes, then crashes.
Now i'm all back to normal and everything runs smooth again.
Not sure if its related to the issue but I noticed the entire load on my cpu was on the 3 core... and the other cores were doing nothing...
