Does WO assistance allow him to get the speed course and everything else of the ship too besides just the solution?? OR do you have to find AoB, speed, and range yourself and he just does the solution?

WO assistance will get you everything... That's why I don't understand that unchecking 'manual targeting' in realism settings gets you that much more renown; it doesn't make the game any harder, you can still ask your WO to do all the calculations. The only difference is that you need to click your mouse a couple of times more...

It's WE (Weapons Officer) Assistance, not WO (Watch Officer), and he comes with his own renown hit. Yes, he gives you everything just for the asking. The good part is that it is a spot-check; that is the information doesn't continually update, and it doesn't show up as a running dialogue. The bad part is he's way too accurate, and way too fast.

If the renown part is a bother it's easy enough to edit that.

Its not a huge deal, I think I might try using WE after my current patrol, make a gradual step towards full on manual targeting ha.

That's what I said. Six years later I still can't get Manual right.

I never used auto targetting, but I do remember my first patrol without WE assist. I sudenly had to pay attention to all contacts, including friendly vessels. No more magic courses and speeds from him meant collision avoidamce would require more attentiveness on my part.

But just for the record, he doesn't give me any information, regardless of how many times I click my mouse.
