Just got UBM through Direct DL got it up and running.was going to do a test patrol, ordered Flank Speed and got the response "Cannot Comply"
So I'm wondering why,and by chance I look at the Systems menu and I see this...

So is it natural in 1.5 Not to see your engines?
If there's a fix or a post with a fix point me in the right direction here.
I'm running TMO 2.0 with 2.1 patch and North Carolina Surface ship mods.Haven't even checked the German campaign to see if it's the same over there.

On a more funny note,How in the HELL do you forget to put something as vital as ENGINES in a sub!?:har:

Did you put a full crew into the rowing section? :D

Other than that, no idea.

It doesn't look like it from your screenshot but if your crew has been at battlestations too long you'll get the "Cannot Comply" response to any engine command.

Having said that, do you have your full crew complement (i.e. are there too many empty spots in your crew)?

Another thing to try is to go to your nav map and plot a course. Your sub crew should respond automatically (i.e. engines kick in and the sub turns to the desired heading).

:salute:

Well the Germans have Engines and I went and started a new US campaign and I had engines so it must of been a weird glitch...
on another note,I noticed after looking,my sub was missing something else,RUDDERS!

now I know they were desperate to get boats out early in the war,but man that's just ridiculous:haha:

Odd stuff. You might try uninstalling and reinstalling it. You never know what else might be missing.

Just looking at that screenshot, i can tell you've got errant mod action going on.

I suspect your trying to run the TMO 2.0 to 2.1 update (or portions of it), over a stock game. That will not work.

Ducimus u hit it on the head I made a mistake in the first post.(Busy day today)I am running TMO 2.0 with 2.1 patch, but I found out what was causing the problem.
The North Carolina Surface ship mod is somehow causing this problem,so taking it out solved the issue.

But hey at least we got a good laugh outta this.
Now I'm wondering what in the North Carolina mod is causing that problem.I'll leave that up to those who know about that stuff.

probably you forgot to relieve your crew from their stations... Dive, and turn the boat into a big R&R boat. TC keeping an eye for overhead passerby. For a day they can gain stamina and push your engine back online..

So that's what the "Check engine" light in my car is for.
