Problem with mission

In 1942 I accpeted a transfer to the ATO. I conducted one mission, saw no ships, and when I returned to base the game crashed. I replayed the mission from a mid point, docked again, and now I am back at Midway. However, I did get a Navy commendation medal for seven patrols, some medals for the crew, and a new Balao. Is the ATO only supposed to last one mission? Did the game go foobar? The absence of any ships at sea or in ports on a long patrol is unusual. It makes me think there is a glitch somewhere.

I have TMO 2.0 to 2.1 and RSRDC activated.

I've never been offered a transfer to the ATO playing RSRD. I think TMO has it where you can transfer there if you choose, but my guess is RSRD nils any traffic put there by TMO. Seems I chose to go there once, didn't see anything, so never went back.

My guess is you won't ever find traffic there unless you play TMO alone. Can't understand why you were transferred there, I thought even in TMO it was an optional choice.

I would refuse any offers to go there playing RSRD.

see above. I ended up losing a good campaign and a veteran crew with many upgrades.

Did your reload work or not. Thought you got back to Midway with everything.

If not, if you still have the entry save before transfer, I would go from there and refuse it. Still, I've never been asked to transfer there, but I always stay docked down south.

It USED TO, but that was taken out. I suppose its possible the RSRD version for TMO still has it in there, i don't know. My version of subron 50, was never completed, and after it sunk into my fat head the amount of work it would entail, i abandoned it and focused on other areas of the game.

It is still in RSRD. I checked and RSRD does include some minor traffic for it's use, so I guess it would work with RSRD, not TMO.

Have no idea if RSRD has everything it needs from TMO if Duc took it out, but assume it does.

Still, I've never once been offered a transfer there, seems the option eventually shows up where you can choose it.

Early in 1942 I looked to see if a transfer was available, and the one choice was to the ATO. I took it, but found nothing, anywhere. I even sailed right into Lorient - looked very peaceful - no one shot at me. I'm running TMO 2.0 + patched RSRD. After deciding I was wasting my time, I ended the patrol, but had to reload a previous entry to port to continue in my original missions from Pearl. Hope this helps.

Lurker did release Subron 50 for his OM+OMEGU mod. You can read up on that at his thread. I never did try it but like all his work I am sure its well done.

IGD, what do you mean you were offered a transfer there. I never get offered a transfer, unless I take a new boat and it transfers me automatically.

I mean that on two missions in late 42 I picked up the phone and saw that I was offered a transfer to Holy Loch. I accepted the first one, and it caused the career to crash. I started another career in late 42 and could have elected a transfer to Holy Loch. I declined it and was sent off to Truk Lagoon. I finished that and the transfer to Holy Loch was an option on my current mission, but I declined it. Maybe there is a kink in the TMO 2.1 - 2.2/RSRDC combination?
