View Full Version : Keeping personnel files?

It looks like my SH3 install's fatally broken: I'm receiving useless radio messages every 5-6 minutes in game time (especially after loading a saved game, I seem to receive a copy of every message transmitted since the start of that patrol) and applying the Radio Messages mod just isn't working. Also, some of my other mods are beginning to randomly de-apply themselves, which I find irritating and frustrating. I use JSGME so I guess there's an outside chance it could be that failing to work properly, but I doubt it.

So I'm going to purge the whole lot and reinstall SH3 from scratch. However, I'd quite like to keep my saved careers to date. What files do I need to copy?

I'm on SH3 1.4 with: GWX3, SH3 Commander, JSGME.

When you uninstall SH3 it asks you if you want to keep your saved careers. Click 'Yes'.

I believe when I installed my new drives, I just moved the entire SH3 careers folder from the My documents folder, and placed each career into the new careers folder when I reinstalled.

If you're leery in the least about losing them, back that folder up somewhere just in case.

I thought it'd be a bit more involved than that! Thanks all.
