.gay domain in the works

As the web gears up to introduce new domains, those proposing a ".gay" domain are getting ready to face opposition.

That is an awesome idea. That way the GLBT community can have their own domain and people with no interest in that can simply block any .gay sites from their search engine.

One of the problems with the Internet Tubes is that pretty much anything can, and is, on the .com domain. Let's start getting some domains that make sense and start categorizing the Internet Tubes.

Do you remember when there were no home computers at all? How about no color television? DVDs? CDs? Stereo recordings? Jet airliners?

Sorry, but it makes me silly when someone asks about people "old enough" on a board where the average member is twice his age.

Typewriter...how quaint.. My daughter one day was explaining to me a machine she saw at school. She said it went tap, tap, tap and the piece moved from one side to the other until a bell rang. Then you pushed it back. I never laughed so hard in my life. I said it is a typewriter sweety. :haha: I had a smith corona typewriter in college. It was electric. I was living large! :D

Vatican vetos 'dot god' domain

The Pope has called on ICANN to keep religion out of the domain name system.

The Vatican warned the internet address-making body of the “perils” of allowing new internet domains such as “.catholic, .anglican, .orthodox, .hindu, .islam, .muslim, [and] .buddhist”.

:o sometimes the reality is stranger than your imagination, also nice that His Majesty also rejects domains of other religions than his own... Somehow I think this shouldn't be his call...
A warning from the Vatican should be taken serious, never underestimate the military might of the Swiss Guard!
