Ubisoft confirms it is readying another entry in its award-winning action adventure series; more details due in May.
Given the critical and commercial success of the Assassin's Creed series, it should come as little surprise that a new installment is in the works. Speaking with analysts in a postearnings release conference call, Ubisoft executives confirmed that Ubisoft will release a new Assassin's Creed game during its next fiscal year, which starts on April 1, 2011, and ends on March 31, 2012. Ubisoft gave no further details about the title, promising more information when it reports its full-year earnings report in May.

Hopefully it'll be the 3rd game, and will finish off the main storyline.
I just recently got Brotherhood, and I have to say it's a big step up from the other games.

Made by ubisoft?
No thanks.
Besides that, the Assasin creed games are console games at their core. After trying to run AC1 on a PC, i promised myself never to be suckered by that franchise again. Console games are crap on PC.

Ive never had the problem of playing AC on PC. I've bought it for console from day 1 and I'll continue to do so until the series wraps up. From what I've heard the main complaint comes in the form of controls, as console controls never translate well to PC.

Just get a controller and you're good to go. Not like they cost a lot. Have a Saitek gamepad: recognised as 360 controller, but still fully programmable. Think it cost 20, 25 bucks.
Quite enjoyed AC1 as well, though the 2nd lost my interest. Never had issues with it, though I picked up AC1 quite late. Iirc it had a lot of technical trouble at first.
I bought it after playing it on my brother's 360. PC was a major improvement, if only because then you don't have to play with a howling machine in the background. Good grief that thing was noisy.
Brotherhood is coming to PC as well, 18th of March for Euro: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/02/15/ides-of-march-assassin%e2%80%99s-creed-brotherhood/

Yes. Controls. IMO, the two biggest issues of console ports are:
1.) Controls. (which absolutely kills any sense of immersion, or getting into the game)
2.) Check point saves. (which is like a smack in the face on PC)
A third item just popped into my mind.
3.) narrow Field of view. Some console ports are really restrictive in their FOV. I've been playing FPS' since freaking wolf3d, and there are some console ports that can make me nauseous or are just flat out irritating due to the limited FOV. (Dead space 1 and resident Evil 5 are great examples of this. )

That. Meh on the other 2, but that narrow field of view ruined many a game for me.
Far Cry 2 and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising are the first 2 to pop into my head. First time I saw it, it just looked wrong. In case of OP: DR I actually couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes, just looked so pathetic.
