So I needed time to reinstall everything. I'm in the mood for a no brainer game now. That Starcraft looks yummy enough. For old time sake :D. If only loads of cool games were not coming this March.

Glad to have you back aboard. Your absence seemed to coincide with some news from your neck of the woods, so maybe a few of us wondered. :)

Yeah aside the regress of democracy, rising food prices, worsening corruption and Islamic fundamentalist, I can live another day :O:.

As for the hacking it's really up to the guy. I have been hacked periodically for the past 2 years or so. Has cost me my Vista disc. Some party must be addicted to me :haha:.

Seriously nice to see you again buddy, I do hope you try to get some better protection now though. Hackers like these that pick on ordinary folk should be put in stockades and pelted with rotten eggs and dung IMO.

You Sir are far too kind to those bottom dwellers.

Also a welcome back from me! :salute: Good that you're ok!
You should really think about an offline pc for personal stuff/backups if you don't have one yet. There seem to be be quite some people who you pissed off.
I also hope that you don't get discouraged and keep your critical voice/blog up!

Indeed and I'm keeping regular backups now and use much stronger passwords and change it regularly.

But after second thought the rootkits may have come from one of the disc I installed myself or one of the downloads that get installed.

Thanks everyone but this thread doesn't deserve another page :O:

Edit: Just found another rootkit that gets installed. I've only installed so few commonly used software and few all legitimate games.
Removed it. Scanned again and it seemed to be clean only to find the same rootkit again 15 minutes later! This is only day 2 of freshly installed windows(updated). I don't get it I have security installed and strong password. Then again COMODO has put too many questionable parties in their trusted vendor list. I have nothing remotely interesting in my PC! I don't even save porn.
