Let's Play Silent Hunter 3

I caught sight of a link to one of my videos here on the forum, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to direct you all to my Youtube channel.

Having been inspired by the growing community of Let's Players out there, I started a commentary-style LP of my own about a month ago. Being a long time fan of SH3 and a frequent visitor to Subsim, I could think of no better game candidate.

I've been thinking of doing my own LP-type thing with SHIV, but I keep having no time to play the game, let alone comment. Maybe someday soon. Cheers, you're an inspiration. This will make good distraction at work :O:

More or less, yes.

If there had been reality shows back then during the war, a Let's Play would probably be the Kriegsmarine's version* of a reality show. Imagine you're the U-boat commander and there's a camera trailing you and recording everything you do aboard the U-boat. Then occasionally, for the benefit of the viewers, you'd face the camera and explain some seemingly obscure and mysterious actions that you just did, are currently doing, or are about to do.

A Let's Play is when someone records their gameplay experience (using Fraps or the like), often commenting about the what's going on in real time.

There are links on my channel to a few noteworthy LPers, covering a large spectrum of games and play styles. I encourage you all to check them out.

You may get sucked in and end up enjoying this new entertainment medium, like I was/did.
