Okay, I really liked the musical chains competition last summer
The only thing I disliked was the fact that any competitor only had to search for a certain keyword on google, and he's got a valid entry.
This time, the rules are slightly different. You can enter any song you want into the competition, if it has some connection with the last song. What connection that exactly is, is up to you! Make it as hard as you want or as easy as you want!
RULES: very simple, someone posts a youtube vid of a song, the next one posts a song that has some connection with that song (unless it's a too simple connection like band) with the posted song)
In other words, everything is allowed, as long as you show a clear connection between the shown song and the one you want to enter, in a very simplified manner meaning it's not in the song title, band name or genre.
Everything other than that is allowed, if a clear connection can be shown..
Furthermore, no two successive entries are allowed to come from the same person. That's all.
EXAMPLE:
Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
Valid answers:
- Paramore - Misery Business (Both songs featured in Guitar Hero: World Tour. Genres are the same, but since the connection doesn't depend on that it's valid.)
- Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar (another party at somebody's home featured in the vid)
Non-valid answers:
- Jimmy Eat World - Pain (Same band, too easy unless you find a really good other connection)
- My Chemical Romance - Famous Last Words (same genre, too easy, no other connection)
- Kamelot - Center of the Universe (you know, center=middle. Didn't take any time to look up.)
In other words, it's not realy hard, but it's necessary to really look up the song or video before you post.
Which was exactly the problem with the last musical chains competition: you looked up one or two words and you had another entry withour really trying. This time your question has to show you've at least listened to or watched the youtube vid.
(And yes, I listen to emo music as well:shifty:)
First entry: Jimmy Eat World - Pain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaP6KgwbOvo)
Have fun!
