No worries, just drink a few litres of vodka and talk to yourself for a few weeks while you're snowed-in. As far as I can tell, that's how the language structure and pronunciation developed. You can learn the cyrillic alphabet through the same process.

Other than that the only important thing to remember is that in Soviet Russia, consequence affects causality.
