I just reinstalled the game with Kingdoms of course.

Any mod recommendation after all this time?

Time surely flies . . . . . I remember enjoying the game very much and still do now after just having finished reinstalling it.

I would play it if my installation discs worked. I have two copies of MTW2 and both of them have a broken disc.

Stainless Steel and Broken Crescent are my recommendations. SS is an all around mod while BC focuses on middle-east.

It doesn't use up like 30 gigs of my hard-drive for nothing. :O:

Heh, I just got MTW2 a couple weeks ago, been playing on and off. I'll be moving to an new computer soon, hopefully I can stick a decent graphics card in that one, and then I'll really get into it :yep: Been fun so far, though it just doesn't feel like Medieval without the old Risk map...

I am! M2:TW with Stainless Steel 6.4 and Third Age Total war (Lord of the Rings mod). It's still a fantastic game!

Thanks for the suggestion,

That stainless steel mod is HUGE!!!!

Downloading now!

Btw: Does the mod actually add unit or improve on the graphics of the existing unit? Could somebody please post a screenshot? Can't find the mod screenshot.

It seems that I've opened a time bomb or a treasure chest . . . .:o

Found another magnificent supermod for Rome Total War
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386559

It even looks better than stock Medieval 2 :sunny:

Now that I have the hard disk to install everything I just might reinstall Rome. I hope it works on 7 and widescreen. :D

I play a campaign about once a year. I use the Lands to Conquer mod. It preserves the vanilla factions and units and focuses mostly on improving the campaign and battle AI. Overall a great gaming experience.

That sucks. I hope in the near future the publisher realizes that we are not buying the disc but the content in it. With that hope getting replacement disc or via download should be norm. Right now steam gives you that and I'm actually glad that Total War has moved to steam so I don't need to worry about my disc being damaged. :DL

I play it too, but I don't use any mods.

I play without mods as well.

However if you have the Gold Edition, is it any more difficult to install mods, or are some built on this edition.

Edit: Think my question is answered above

Wll stainless steels 6.4 is great though it didn't exceed my expectation.

However is there a way to change the font of the event and soldier description? They are grey and so hard to read!:damn:

Another great but for some reason overlooked mod is "Deus Lo Vult". Adds alot of random events and role playing elements. Very very cool mod.
