best mods

Hi guys been away for awhile havent played silent hunter 3 or 4 in over a year but wanted to load them up. I cant get sh5 my computer doesnt meet the requirements. I just wanted to know what the best mods are for both sh3 and sh4. Just all the best stuff that I can get to get the most fun out of the game not just the out of the box version. thanks phil

I don't play SH 3 but from what I hear the GWX mod is the best way to go.

SH 4 I play with the latest TMO 2.0 Tiger Maru Overhauled. Love it. :yeah:
If you like more realistic game play Real Fleet Boats, RFB, is also very good.
Run Silent, Run Deep, RSRD, will run over either of the above. Redoes the shipping campaign and Task Forces. Avery good realism mod.

SH3: GWX, LSH3, NYGM, WAC. Those are the four best supermods, and which one you choose is a matter of like and dislike. There is no "best". After that there are at least 100 mods that work with one, the other or all of them, and which somebody somewhere considers best.

SH4: FOTRS, RFB, TMO. All are used by many people, and the people who use them consider theirs "the best", otherwise they wouldn't be using that one. Also it's a good idea to get RSRDC, as it changes the overall campaign to reflect actual Japanese ship movemenst throughout the war.

You can play U-boats quite nicely with SH4 using OM, or if you prefer the later Monsun campaign Ducimus' new 9D2 mod is great. And again there are dozens of little mods that can be used, and everyone will tell you something different.
