Not diplomatic, but weather conditions could cause major problems in NK this year.

Don't know how long NK can stand this. China is getting fed up with their attitude and may not cover any shortfall.

Not to worry!
Great Reader can control the reather :haha:
Edit: On a serious note, when the hell is the world (read U.S, EU, Russia and China) going to put their foot down and kick this clown out of the country. This has been going on far too long and, given the instability of both the regime and its leader, it's either going to go on like this for the foreseeable future, or is going to end in blood and mushroom clouds.

I agree with Krauter. I just dont get it why some keep helping NK. Stop the food supplies and public disorder might crow. Or thats just a stupid remark since we dont understand the situation.
It dates back to the middle ages or before.... blockade

See War, Iraq, 2003. And the rest of the world's reaction to it. None of the western powers have the clout (politically) to go in a muck up another country based on a whim.
I do, though, think we should go in there. I just don't see it happening in the currently geo-political atmosphere. Maybe China or even Russia could initiate, and then the rest of the world can come along, but that's not going to happen. Everybody is going to wait for the US to do something. And the US will wait till South Korea scream for help.

Sad but probably very true. Not a whole lot we can really do about it, though.
Hey look, another NK thread.
Mean while in the who gives a hoot world...
I'm off to make myself a coffee. :|\\

Thanks. I'd say I do my best, but i think sometimes i come by it naturally, or maybe i'm just well practiced. I haven't figured out which it is yet.

China. China has a vested interest in propping up the DPRK because they don't want the refugees flooding into their borders, and they like the buffer zone between them and the US that the DPRK provides.
I do, though, think we should go in there.
Why should we? The entire peninsula of the "Land of the not quite right" isn't worth one single drop of blood in my opinion. Oil or no oil.

That's a given. The guy has an entire musuem dedicated to just the "gifts" he's recieved from foreign countries for the dumb brainwashed locals to ogle at, and that's just for starters.
