One of the most famous film composers, and one of my favourites. Ironically, I was listening to one of his compositions just earlier this morning on my way back from work.

I've always said that composition for film is an underappreciated discipline. The score for Out of Africa remains one of the finest I have heard in cinema.

[edit] I posted before I checked the links. I've always loved the '007 Theme', but I didn't realize some of the other stuff he created. WOW! :o :rock:
