Pat Condell and me are brothers in mind, I'm a fan of his videos and I know enough about the matters he touches upon as to know that he get things right. But every once in a while, once or twice a year, he even beats himself, and amongst these highlights, this one is an especially bright one.

Very very well put, Pat! :yeah: True, and straight.

On importing inferior Muslim criminal values and destroying Western freedom of speech and criminalisation of criticism of these developements.

The court cases he refers to I all have mentioned in past threads.

Also take note of this piece (http://www.hudson-ny.org/1829/free-speech-on-trial-in-europe):

The "hate speech" trial of Lars Hedegaard, the president of the Danish Free Press Society and the International Free Press Society (http://www.internationalfreepresssociety.org/), began in a courthouse near Copenhagen on January 24. Hedegaard, who has been charged with "racism" for critical comments he made about Islam, faces up to two years in prison.

Hedegaard's trial, which is similar to recent or current ones in Austria, Finland, France, Italy and the Netherlands, represents a landmark case that will establish the limits of free speech in a country where the politically correct elite routinely seek to silence public discussion about the growing problem of Muslim immigration. The trial also exemplifies the increasing use of lawfare: the malicious use of European courts to silence criticism of Islam.

Also check the links on the right side of the Condell video, the ones about so-called "lawfare" - meaning to wage war against free speech and critical questions to Islam by besieging the courts and abusing laws to persecute people standing up for freedom and criticism of totalitarian ideologies like Islasm. In Germany for example lawyers and judges complain about courts very practically beeing overburdened with bagatelle cases filed by Islamic oreganisations most of which run aggressive radical agendas and invest money into strawmen whom they send into the first frontline position in order to hide their own identity. The potential maximum load of work the lawsystem in Germany can service is said to have very substantially been lowered due to being almost paralysed in parts by such waves of "lawfare". I heared of estimations ranging from 10-20% of the lawsystem's total capacity being deadlocked in such issues. It is a growing problem in other European countries as well. Most of it happens outside the awareness focus of the public. In Germany we have two famous Turkish Muslim Islam-critics who also warn of this. They get attacked massively especially by the left and the "Gutmenschen" brigade, and even get death threats from that direction.

Now, while I do not always support the way Par Condell expresses his ideas nor do I support his views on European integration, the man is a symptom of our times. The current political culture of shutting our eyes and ears and screaming multiculturalism so loud that no-one else can have a say, well, will lead to people like Pat to express their grievances loudly, publicly and sometime, with let us say, non-academic language.

Now, having said that, his criticism of both Christianity and Islam in Europe are well placed and do express legitimate concern over the future of our Enlightenment values. There are many books on the subject which try to eschew the question of political correctness and make everyone look like fascists to even dare question anything, but there are also those inside the mainstream academic community who realise the complexity of what is going on and offer a wider, more complex, but also more critical view of both sides or parties in this argument. We mustn't assume that everything is so black and white or that Muslims in Europe represent a single homogeneous group, sharing the same values and ideas all around.

Yet there is one thing about which there is no place for discussion, debate or compromise and those are our Enlightenment values of the freedom of use and expression of reason and in this regard, Pat has and will have my absolute support. The way he expresses his message might to some people be unpleasant, but it is there, lurking under the media blackout. When Olivier Roy, the last man you will find to express direct criticism says that multiculturalism doesn't work anywhere, well, that stands for something.

@Skybird: Any way I can contact you through the PMs? I have a question about using some of your work.
