So I was simming on my computer when I heard a weird squealing and my Cat thumping around on the porch. Now I have an enclosed porch so I thought it odd that my cat was thumping wildly around out there so even know it was 1:30 am I got curious and walked out there. I saw my cat pawing and trying to carry what I thought was a mouse. But As I was about to walk back in the mouse broke free and went flying under the bbq grill. So I threw my cat inside and grabbed the broom thinking I would open the door and steer the mouse out to freedom. Then this tiny bunny comes hopping out from under the grill and right up to my feet. It was an odd moment as if it was saying save me. We have a large wild cottontail population in the area and even as adults they are kinda cute but this little guy would give thumper a run for its money!

I stuck my hand down in front of it and nudged it with my other hand and it hopped right into my hand and laid there calmly as I scooped it up. It was docile and let me pet it and I inspected the little guy for any injury. Its eye was injured around the eyelid but its eye was still intact and it could still close its injured eyelid. So after I checked him over I walked outside and set the little guy down by the bushes and he slowly hopped into them.

That indeed is one lucky rabbit!;)

So an hour and a half later it happened again! This was another baby rabbit and my cat just didn't know what to do with it other than bat it around and play with it. This one is much fiestier though and wont let me touch it so I open the door and nudge him out and he runs off. About five minutes later I find him hudled in the corner against the wall just outside my patio and scoop him into a tub to see if he's injured. Once in the tub he comes to life almost jumping out! So I bring him to the same shrub in the front yard and release him with his buddy if his injured buddy is still in there.

I had enough so I block the 1 1\2" gap under the screen door and check the patio for more bunnies.....all clear!

Gargamel thats exactly what they looked like and they were about that size.

I think maybe they wandered in together and my cat goes out the doggy door all night long so he caught one and the other hid and later he cornered it? I dunno Im at a loss as to how those poor little buggers got in since the door gap is so small.

Anyway Lucky rabbit has a lucky friend. I hope they live.

No more than we are on average, in fact i would say we are worse. Just sometimes we are willing to show some mercy (but usually only to cute things).

I wasn't comparing, or condemning. I was just pointing it out.

And I agree with you. :sunny:
