Health and fitness legend Jack LaLanne has died at the age of 96.

I can still remember seeing his TV show on the old B&W telly when I was just a wee thing.

In 1990, Jack LaLanne was quoted as saying, "I never think of my age, never. I could be 20 or 100. I never think about it. I'm just me." Two years ago, before undergoing heart surgery, he said, "I can't afford to die. It would wreck my image."

According to his longtime agent, LaLanne kept up his healthy, active lifestyle until the end of that very full life.

I remember his Bicentennial stunt in which he swam a mile, towing 13 boats containing 76 people. He was 61 at the time.

I also remember his fitness show when I was growing up. Cool guy, great life. I'll miss him.

I remember watching his tv program along with my mother.

You gotta hand it to him. He lived the way he preached. :salute:

I figure it this way - If I can hit 96 years old and live life like he did, I'm good.

I mean, dude had energy right up until he didn't need it anymore. That's cool.
