This link will answer your question:

I don't know what you mean about "what file you look in to find the "image back-up file", you mean the folder or location of the backup you made?
You chose the location of where to backup when making a backup of files, folders or the entire PC.

I don't understand the question...

When you make a Win7 backup, you yourself define where to place the backup. Same goes when using an "external" program like Acronis...

So... please try again :D

Update:
okay, so here's the story. I bought a new computer (a display model:dead:) for a really good deal, but the store had to reset windows. When I took it home, I started to un-install all of the fluff on it, and put my stuff on it.

When I got to AVG, I went to reboot it after the install, and windows wouldn't start.:dead: It wouldn't start in safe mode, nuttin! So I made a recovery disk off our other windows 7 comp, but it is 32 bit and didn't work, but I could atleast semi-access the repair screen. I'd run repair mode, and windows said there was nothing wrong:har:. I called AVG, and they said it was a windows problem, re-install windows:-?.

So, by 2 am, I gave up and decided to have the store tech dept look at it. (basically re-install windows- The comp didn't come with a windows disk:stare:)

The tech guy, started it up, went through the song and dance, then threw his arms up in the air and said "there's nothing I can do, we need to send it to the vendor." So I just returned the computer and got a refund.

Round two:

So I got a different computer, took it home and made a back-up disk:know: first thing. Un-installed mcafee, installed AVG, and I got an error message this time: "the AVG intaller program was corrupt(?) and I needed to use the online installer. So I did that, and no problems, everything works.
