Sources connected with the network tell us ... Comcast honchos did not like Keith's defiance and the way he played in the sandbox.

All the talk about civility has hit home for Keith.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is but the first of a long list of rabid left wing celebs who bite the dust as MSNBC under Comcast attempts ro raise its ratings.

Fox News always says it gets the best ratings, but if it's really just them against the monolithic liberal media, then wouldn't liberal viewership just be split among the MSNBC, CNN, etc, giving Fox an artificial lead?

Olbermann hosted MSNBC's top-rated show, TTM. Comcast firing him to raise ratings? Uhm, not. Your logic is flawed.

Yes. Also they are only top of cable news networks (note my use of "news networks" since the bulk of all programming on CNN (even HLN!), MSNBC, CNBC an FoxNews is NOT in fact news shows, but opinion shows.

Please, let it be true, as stated all these cable news outlets aren't news but right or left entertainment, sadly people would rather be entertained than get facts. I'd rather watch reruns of Murrow.

You know, many of us in the younger generation barely even watch TV
So its not exactly unexpected that these guys get less viewers over time.

You know, I got more news from Vendor than TV this month

...ore the "educated" voters that don't. The sad thing is that there's more actual news on his program than most of the garbage on the 24 hour "news" networks.

+1 :yep:

What's sad is that some folks eat it up and regurgitate it almost word-for-word. :-?

EDIT: The younger generations might be on to something... stop watching the news. :haha::yeah:

After careful consideration of his qualifications, Fox News has hired Keith Olbermann.

My country 'tis of thee,
sweet land of i-diocy.
Of thee I sing.
Land where my father's lie,
'bout every subject, aye.
From every mountainside,
Let freedom wane.
