After 2-3 years I've finally picked up Silent hunter 3 again and I have to tell you that I'm enjoying it more than I ever have before.
The very first time I played Silent Hunter 3 was 3-4 years ago, I was playing with auto-targeting on and map contact updates on. Basically making the challenge relatively non-existant.
Picking it up recently, I found myself wanting more of a challenge and so I started off by learning the manual targeting and once I had gotten the hang of that, I started to practice finding targets without the map contact updates on.
I wouldn't have been able to do this if it wasn't for all of the invaluable help, tips, mods and strategies that I have found here at Subsim and I feel like I'm playing a new game!
Easily the best community that I've seen to date. :rock:
