I've pulled up alongside a sub tender in the Canary Islands; but I can't figure out how to get refueled. What do I need to do??

TIA :salute:

You need to quit (Esc) and Dock at...

Refueling at a supply ship will "end" your current patrol, after which you'll start the next one from the same spot. Basically they were coded into the game as additional German bases since IIRC there was no other way to add them.

So you have to treat them accordingly - hit "Esc" and "Exit Patrol" just like you were ending a patrol by returning to base. If you are near enough to the ship (lalongside is plenty close!) the game will recognize it as a docking option and you should be able to click on "Dock at [ship name]."

The game will treat it as though you've ended a patrol, but when you start the next one you'll still be right alongside the supply ship when it loads.

Also if you're using Commander, it will recognize the time between patrols as a stopover for refueling at sea and only give you 1 day "in base." (If your boat had hull damage, however, the game itself will still give you an extra day between patrols for every percentage point lost in hull integrity.)

Thanks to both of ya! :salute:

I'm now refueled and have left the Corrientes. Are they any limits on how often I can visit her?

No, as long as you arrive within the dates that she's there. But remember that each time you do it'll start another patrol so you could end up having an excessive amount of patrols (if you're lucky!) which isn't in keeping with some peoples "realistic immersion", but I'm not that realistic :yep: and nobody will really care apart from you.

PS does anybody know what happens if you dock there just before she departs? Do you start your next patrol back in your original port, or do you still start from that location?

I don't think so, but keep in mind that you can't make any upgrades to your boat or crew changes if you end/begin your patrol at a supply ship. And also that if you don't go back to base eventually, your crew will smother you in your sleep with a pillow. :O:

Nah, I won't stay out too long!

I just want to find some ships off the coast of Africa then head back to Lorient.

Thanks again everyone!

I've noticed that. Your map-modelling could use some work and your head is way out of proportion to the rest. Your speech files need replacing too, but I'm just picking nits on that one.

My favorite tactic is to infiltrate Gibraltar, restock at Thalia nearby, infiltrate again and then head home. Unrealistic? Incredibly.

I'm tempted to head to one of the supply depots the day before it is destroyed.

:rotfl2:Contender for a 2011 Best Of badge already! Nothing wrong with my map modelling, apart from the lego is a bit small for my chunky fingers. My sp, sp, speech, isssss perfect tttttwo and I don't have nits.

You will depart the day said vessel is scripted to end.
