WASHINGTON - Israel has tested a computer worm believed to have sabotaged Iran's nuclear centrifuges and slowed its ability to develop an atomic weapon, The New York Times reported Saturday.

In what the Times described as a joint Israeli-U.S. effort to undermine Iran's nuclear ambitions, it said the tests of the destructive Stuxnet worm had occurred over the past two years at the heavily guarded Dimona complex in the Negev desert.

The newspaper cited unidentified intelligence and military experts familiar with Dimona who said Israel had spun centrifuges virtually identical to those at Iran's Natanz facility, where Iranian scientists are struggling to enrich uranium.

Why taking just a Fauxnews-reference, when you can have the original report by the NYT ?

None of the sources here are original, which you did not have to add after your first few rows, the mere fact that you did a reminder, I knew you posted this thread from the beginning
keep it up date, so are the problem solved..

Pardon?

The reference is to the article of the NYT, and that is the original article indeed that other news sites now quote/refer to. ;)

But it seems the Times is blocking access somehow. Even my workaround solution I used this morning does not work anymore. I have been subscribed to them since years. Maybe they turned payware now, could that be? Currently I just get the first page of four.

Oh geez - who cares the source if its confirmed by another. Lets get to the topic at hand...

The US and Israel supposedly tested Stux beforehand....

And this is a suprise?

interesting to see how warfare is evolving...

In 1980, Israel had to launch an air strike to stop Irak's nuclear program.

In 2010, you can do the same thing with a computer virus...:yep:

I'm not going to subscribe all those two dozen papers from around the world that I skim over every day. The latter I only do because it is free. If it is not free anymore, I don't read them anymore. I oppose the internet becoming a more and more payware-service platform.

I oppose the internet becoming a more and more payware-service platform. That's the way it should be, you are absolutely right with because they are hungry to make money from potent subscribe .. and since the Internet delivers material from many different sources so it is always possible to bypass this
