How do you get crew off deck? i cant dive!

Hi,

Im playing stock except TDW Mega_mod.

I've sailed all the way to the English coast using 25% realtime on my first campaign, i figured it was about time to dive for my fist time with this game, and indeed i want to use the Hydrophone anyway.

I went up on deck just for the view and used the "V" key to dive....nothing happened, tried again...nothing happened, went to my message box and it says "Cant dive, crew on deck" which is naff!.

Anyway, i cant find any button or switch or order to get the crew off deck so i can dive???

Just aswell i tested before encountering an aircraft!

Please tell me how this is done.

The boat won't initiate a dive with it's captain up on deck.

Thanks, that thought just occured to me....its a bit crap really, what if i want to ensure all are off deck before diving!!

Never mind, thanks for the help, i'll go take a dip now!

And heres me thinking the reason is I have to close the hatch first. I go down the ladder and like a good captain I close the hatch before ordering a dive. The first time this happened I had come across a destroyer firing at me so went to crash dive but nothing happened! Panic stricken and shouting curses while spamming the crash dive button. I then thought maybe I have to go down and close the hatch. Then it worked. :haha:
