Those Dirty Triangles!!

A familiar bane to all us subsimmers.

I like the names and general damage status over the ships, but I'd like to turn off the eye burdening triangles for distant ships. I'd rather see where my splashes are and just point at stuff on the mini-map which is the same as using the 3D.

Is there a way, or mod, to get rid of only the triangles but leave the ship name/status plates over them?

You are aware of the "S" key shortcut, correct? While the different icon modes don't turn off the triangles, you can temporarily switch the labels on and off...

I personally don't mind these.
