First i want to apologize in case i make english mistakes since it's my second language (french being my fisrt one even though i'm not french but belgian).
My girlfriend offered me Silent Hunter 5 for my birthday and i just love this game! I've only played it for like a week or so but i already feel the need to mod it a little bit (just like all the games i have) since there are some aspects of the game that don't look realistic enough in my opinion (the way ships sink for example). That's how i ended on this forum.
I used to play another submarines game back in the early 90's when i was a child but i don't know how it was called..

Hi guys and thanks for the "welcome"! I only just found how to find back my posts so sorry for the late reply...
@frau kaleun: Merci! Danke!
@Takeda Shingen: Thanks for the hint, i sure did visit the awesome mods section and i now have a good 20 mods enabled in JSGME! The only thing i'm still looking for is a mod to remove/reduce the bow spray on the submarines :hmmm:

I'm sure more people here understand French than Flemish :doh:

I misread the name at first, thought it was Ser Bernard. Went uh oh... he's not going to last long.... or he'll last too long....

No, no, you're thinking of Sir Bernard... that's what he was called after being knighted by George VI in 1946 for (inadvertent) services to the British Empire. :yep:
Bienvenue à bord! :salute:
after 6 years of learning I still have to guess what it means
:salute:

There are some real gems in there!
he meant germs
@frau kaleun: Danke!

lol Kranz since "bord" is very close to "board" you shouldn't run into too much trouble guessing what "Bienvenue à bord" means especially since it's what all people say in this kind of thread :know:
About those geRms, i've found some too but since i don't wanna be an ass i won't tell which ones :haha:
Oh and you ruined all my efforts with frau kaleun! :yawn:
May i ask, does "welcome abroad" mean anything or is it just a typo?

once I confused "daughter" with "night". in French, nothing is obvious to me.
