Took a break from PTO and gave U boats a real try with OM.While a great mod and had some fun, I'm a PTO guy.I hvent played much last couple weeks, been busy with vacation(if that makes sense lol) but reinstalling TMO and some other mods, prob get a patrol going tomorrow.

Any new mods/developments on the PTO front? Any idea how to get the clean skins from TMO optional mods to work with TMO 2.0 beta patch?

Noticed you were gone, glad you're back. Never played with the skins, just use the ones I DL from killflags long ago.

I'm getting ready to attack the large JP TF that headed to Eniwetok in the Marshalls in Oct. 43. Never attacked this TF before. Read about it in a book and check RSRD and there it was. Has to be one of the largest TF in the game in capital ships, both Y's, Fuso, 2 Kongo's, 2 Shokaku's, escort carrier, 5 Takao's CA's, 1 Maya CA, 2 Mogami,s, 3 LCA's, 12 various DDs, most veteran...

Should be fun.

Damn...I died, all the way to 43.. I attacked that group hit the first Y with 3, he moved on, sunk the escort carrier. I then set up on another Y further back and got him with enough torps to slow him down. Terrible DC attack in calm water, but just 13% damage..Finally I surfaced and the Y was lagging behind. He had radar and anytime I surfaced 5 DD's came at me fast. Finally able to hold decks awash at 12 knots and no DD's came and got in a position and shot him one at a time. Down to one torp when the devil hit my scope with a shot and destroyed both, only had one up...
I shot the last one by sonar as he was going 1kt...and he sunk.

Seeing that the group docked at Eniwetok, then left on the 23rd about 200nms towards Wake before turning back to Truk, I hauled arse to Midway, refitting and found the group again turning around. Wind 11, so got by the DD's easy and hit the first Y with 6 and a Kongo rear tubes with 3. The group started milling, had cams off , reloaded and came back up shot at the Y and a DD made a perfect run, 70% damage. Now winds were 0 and DD's were pinging. The Y sunk..taking out 2 ships with it. Having two Y's sunk, one carrier...NO SAVES for either battle, I decide to leave the Kongo alone and escape. Went to 150 ft, scared to go deeper, hit flank and a mild turn as a DD came over...Bullseye...killed me.

Why can't I just be patient......
