THis is driving me mad!!

When ever i enter this site, and enter a thread, it runs normal i.e 1st post is first, then second below it and so on.....for some reason though, now the threads seem to start with the last one first, or i dont even get to see all of the posts?? i changed the modes to hybrid etc, but to no effect?

How do you make the posts in a thread show as normal??

Thanks

Click "User CP" (top left of screen, next to Downloads)

select "Edit options"

scroll down to "tread display options" and select how you want threads displayed.

hope this helps

Yes. And sometimes, when you clear your cookies, the CP settings will revert to default. If you see it again, just check your settings.

I think the moderators and admins here have to fix this. There is a setting in the forum control panel where the mods plac the posts as most recent at the top or bottom..... I think it makes way better sense to set the very first post of a thread at the top and KEEP IT THERE, then place the others in order underneath it.

I am feeling the same frustration as you so please admins, fix this. There is a reason why all the other forums on other sites keep their thread posts in order from top to bottom.

EDIT!!!

OK never mind, I just followed jwilliams's (thanks Jwilliams!) advice and set the thread option to "oldest first". that seemed to fix, but why would the admins of this forum ever want to have the default setting as "newest first"???? That to me just doesn't make sense.
