Hello skippers,

My only accomplishments so far after 3 patrols was a lousy 53,044 GRT, from a handful of merchants, only real contributor, was a Large Modern Tanker, grossing 10000 tonnes. I need intel as to where to find the bigger fish, like Cruisers, Conte Verde, Carriers, etc. I cant approach Tokyo without a CTD, nor could I perform a port raid on a crowded area (Marina). I need a secluded position, where I could possibly hunt down carriers. I do note that carriers have the most distinguished sound in the whole game, but the question of finding them is a tick on my fur!!!!

Anybd? Is there an official intel source for these big fishes? like, say, microsoft flight simulator insight insert that comes along with the box?

That puts you as the 17th top scorer in the war.

If you have TMO 2.0- 2.1 go to Truk Lagoon there is always an aircraft carrier there. I did a raid there on the 13-14 September 1942, there was 1 Fleet Carrier, 1 Furutaka Heavy Cruiser, 1 Takao Heavy Cruiser, 1 Naka Light Cruiser, 3 Kuma Light Cruisers, and 2 DD's. Listed by tonnage. I also did a raid on Kobe thanks to an chance photo reco mission to Osaka. Found 1 Kongo Battleship, 3 Fleet Carriers, and 1 Heavy Cruiser.

Does this apply to stock too?

Not sure if this'll help on your particular laptop but, Windows XP and up can use a thumbdrive (USB 2.0 is best) as additional RAM. Maybe not as fast as the real thing but, faster than the Page File used by your HD. A 4GB thumbdrive gives you that much more memory. Installing a new TD should automatically bring up a menu asking you if you want to use the thumb drive as a performance enhancer. It might help.;)
BTW, in the stock version, there isn't even a port at Truk.

Yea, never figure how stock left out so many naval ports like Truk. I think stock had Rabaul, but no real action in the Solomons. Not even sure if the US base for Tulagi is in stock.

Find the ME in the sh4 dir and open it. Once it's up just hit file on top left and open and find the sh4/data/campaign. You can open up the campaing files and study how stock does the battles and traffic, just so much of it's random.

Thanks Wernher!!! I'll try so.. So If I get like a 16 gig flash, and plug it, will it serve? My max RAM is 8 gig, currently 2 gig available.

Will do buddy, Thanks!!It'll definitely help, rather than hurt your system but, I don't know how far it'll go in improving your graphics since I've never had the need (myself) to use it. As far as installed RAM goes, if you're running Vista (or higher) you'll have no problems with 8 or more gigs. If you're running XP, you won't be able to run more than 4GB so installing more RAM won't help.
