Hi all

I was underwater and my bar for CO2 went down to 0/100. I surfaced the boat, and after being on the surface for an hour, it's still at 0..

How do I get it back to 100/100 ???

Cheers

EDIT: DOH ignore the above - CO2 should be at 0 when i looked it was at 10/100 so guessed it was counting backwards

CO2 is carbon monoxide . Once you have stayed under too long it builds up and if it gets to about 10% its time to surface . I usually surface at around 5% . In fact i have TDW UI option to go to 1X TC when i get the 10% warning if i forget .

Sorry offtopic - CO2 is carbon dioxide. Monoxide is CO and it's a rather posonous gas: Concentrations as low as 667 ppm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parts_per_notation) may cause up to 50% of the body's hemoglobin to convert to carboxyhemoglobin.A level of 50% carboxyhemoglobin may result in seizure, coma, and fatality. In the United States, the OSHA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupational_Safety_and_Health_Administration) limits long-term workplace exposure levels above 50 ppm

This can happen on a sub if the diesel's exhaust system is faulty so exhaust sip into the pressure hull but you would smell and see it - there is not only CO in diesel exhaust. Not is SH though. ;)

I have TDW UI 6.0 mod installed - how do I set it to go to 1x TC when it gets 10% warning?

Cheers

AFAIK, from real submariners.. 2% CO2 is a very good reason to surface.
