First I wish a very happy new year to every captains here.

I wonder if some guys here would be interested in playing a day by day patrol. I mean today we are the 2nd of january 2011 so in game it would be the 2nd of january 1941. You play every day only 1 day in game then report your current position and status here (some kind of bdu). Every boat position can then be reported on a map and updated daily. If you have not much time to play you can report 2-3 days later no problem or increase TC to match the right date.
The interest is if there are too much boats in an area orders can be sent to you to go elsewhere according to fuel and torpedoes ressources
We start with one flotilla and true numbers of uboot. Each "player" can control 2 ships so when one is back to base you can still play with the other one.
It should be played in a realistic way but 100% difficulty is not needed so most players can join in ( but limited fuel, limited torpedoes, no teleport, did at least)
I'm not english so i hope it's quite clear, tell me if it's ok to you

If nobody is interesting in it no problem for me, it's just that playing with others in the same frametime makes it more interactive and interesting

I'd be up for it! Sign me up!

Sounds like we'll need someone to serve as an operations officer, to coordinate what boats are cruising what grid squares.

Something like Google Maps would be helpful too! That's what the Devils of the Deep are using (in the Enigma Flotilla) We just started a campaign at the beginning of the war. In fact we're just now getting to our starting points before September 1, '39.

I've created the patrol map based at Lorient. You can see it here (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=213222759659496496989.0004991b2d4bda8bcd78f).

I've also put UnterseeMann's sub (U-124) and mine (U-123) on it.

I've got to do a shakedown cruise with the new career I'll create for this one. Let's set the date of our first war patrol for January 7th, 1941.

If anyone else would wish to join PM me and tell me what U-Boat you're commanding! I'll try to get orders cut for war patrols by 4:00 PM (CST) on Friday! All orders will be sent out via PM.

I would suggest though, for a better, more intense experience, joining the Enigma Flotilla or (even better) the "Devils of the Deep".

For the glory of the Fatherland! :salute:

The following orders are issued:

U-123 proceed to grid AM18
U-124 proceed to grid AM41

Conduct anti-shipping operations against all hostile flagged MERCHANT vessels. Do not jeopardize U-boat and crew by engaging allied warships at this time.

Depart current base on 07 January 1941.

Remain on station in assigned grid area until fuel and/or ammunition are depleted or until ordered by BdU.

Submit patrol report upon return to base.

For the glory of the Fatherland! :salute:

Great minds think alike.

As the Devils Chief of Staff (nogoodlandlubber) has advised you may want to look at Joining the Devils as a Staff Officer.

We can use your creativity.

Cheers,
:salute:
