Voice orders gone?

Hi all

I was playing SH5 yesterday with no problems, when I ordered Depth under Keel I shouted out the command and the answer was returned.

Loading up today I noticed this wasn't happening - all I got was the ping, also when I ordered speed changes I didn't shout out the commands, it just happened. I'm missing these and don't know what I've done to stop them happening.

I have however installed 2 new mods..

1. SteelVikings Interior Mod v1.2
2. Capthelms Audio & SV Touchups.

Could it be #2 thats causing the problem?

This happens in my game also fairly regularly - I think the only way to fix it is Save/Reload. Like quite a few other minor problems.

I have Steelvikings interior mod but not your audio mod so it isn't that.

This is a known problem. I have it and so does a number of others. The only solution is to reload. It's part of my routine now when I load up a previous save to check depth under keel. If he doesn't report I reload until he does. Then I can continue without problem.

For me most of the time its not a problem but every now and then it is. No one has a clue to why this happens. I have the SteelVikings Interior Mod v1.2 too but I uninstalled all mods and still had the problem.

I put all my mods back on and just reload when necessary.

but can you clarify... which of the below.

1. Exit out to windows and load the whole game again (takes ages)
2. just keep loading the game do shift D and if no voice load the game...

I'm guessing #2 so will try this. - Edit - Done this 10 times with no luck... Arrrh

Exit back to main menu, then reload. You shouldn't have to restart the game. Although, if you are having re-occurring problems with any software a complete reboot (restart windows) is not a bad idea. Gets the memory refreshed like staarting with a clean state.

Yes 2, out to the menu and back. It didn't work for me once so I went to a previous save. Most of the time it works for me though on the last saved game.

I wish we could figure out what causes this.
