CHINO, CA—In an unprecedented and historic event Monday, the "I Am Under 18" button, an Internet security device which if selected restricts access to websites featuring adult content, was clicked for the first time ever.

Moments later, Kinley's friend Dave Gerrard, 17, pushed Kinley aside and clicked the "I Am Over 18" button himself, at which point a tactical police unit broke down his bedroom door and arrested him.

Reminds me of the time the army surrounded our house. With helicopters flying overhead and tanks pointing their guns at us, the man in the black suit looked at my dad and said "Sir, we understand you tore the little tag off your mattress."

I'd click the button without a second thought. :p2:

"I plan to return to the site three months from now, when I will be mature enough to handle its content"
I'd tell him: dude, there is nothing to handle there, you just take off...and...

Those were the days. :D
The "I am under 18" button is sort of like a "Wet Paint" sign: the minute you put it up, someone will want to touch the wall to see if it's true. It becomes almost like a challenge or a dare and, most certainly, a temptation. In matters of human nature, it all started with Adam & Eve:
The mistake was in not forbidding the serpent; then Adam and Eve would have eaten the serpent.

dunno if good ole greatgranny Eve was the first one who pressed the button, but your statement is true: Everyone knows these "quizzes" many TV stations have: Games where you can win stuff like a computer or a flatscreen when you know the right answer to bs questions if Paris is a) in Europe or b) on the moon.
A huge amount of people call for the anti-Captain-Obvious-answer, at rates of 1-2 bucks, without a chance of winning the prize. According to numbers that I had access to, it was that about 40% call for the wrong answer. I don't have much trust in common intelligence, but it seems that there was a great amount of curiousness rather than dumbness.
Good for the people who earn from the callers.
