I'm guessing it's just that I'm at the beginning of my career with inexperienced crew, but really, when I have the scout planes overhead telling me I should be right on TOP of a spotted ship, but my watchmen don't spot it, it's a bit frustrating.
I go to the map and time accelerate. I figure I'm right on the contact's course. At last, I hear "Ship spotted, bearing 000!" from the bridge, I head topside and grab my binoculars.
...The ship they've spotted is less than 4km away, coming right for us; A gigantic splotch even to the naked eye. I have to order the crash dive just to get to periscope depth before -they- spot -us- since we are at flanking speed heading straight for them. Granted, light was dim and the seas were heavy, but really, it was just pathetic.
I'm guessing this is why my first patrols tend to be quiet, even when I'm in hostile infested waters. Any tips on what to do about this? I'm using RFB 2.0.
