Greetings!
New to subsim but been playing SH3+4 for a while. I prefer SH3 but haven't been able to play it since I stupidly upgraded from XP. I was on Vista for a while but as that was a terrible experience I've recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I thought I'd be able to get the game to work in XP mode but (why I bought this version) but alas...
I've removed the Starforce protection so it should work without the DVD and upgraded to version 1.4. I'm running the mediterranean expansion too. It almost loads then crashes at the last moment.
