SH5, No AF settings??

Hi

I've just loaded up SH5 for the first time and three thing have struck me....

1. Despite my 1920x1200 monitor res, the title screen looks like the original game DOOM, @ 1028x700 res!!..i mean the guy's walking around the sub hanger are literly made up of blocks! what the score here?

2. The AA setting is a slider bar!!, how can i possibly know what AA is applied??

3. There is no AF setting, even a slider bar!...

Just use your graphics card control panel to change desired AA and AF. I made one for my Nvidia CP with SH5 executable. I run it with 16xAF and 8XqS AA 30-50 fps depending on whats being rendered.

I was thinking this!

Its a bit odd not offering AF though?? also, is it just my screen or has everyone got a really poorly rendered title page back ground?

1. Don't know what that's about, you should post a screenshot.
2. The AA slider bar position corresponds to 0x (no AA), 2x, 4x, 8x etc.
3. The AF level is not exposed in the menu. It is enabled by default on some textures (8x I think) but not on all of them.

Ah, thanks,

1. When start-up SH5 you have the title screen with all the options...in the background are the sub pens, and a load of guy's going about their business...But it looks awfull, i mean it looks as though its in a resoulution of 300x300 or something, major jagged edges on all the guys, and a real low resolution in general!!

I realise its not important if the game runs / looks good, but i've yet to play as im waiting on the Mega-mod before doing so....i just wanted to know if this was the case on everyones PC.

3. There is no AF setting, even a slider bar!... Go into your main SH5 game folder C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Movies . Copy the Intro.bik from the Intro folder and paste it in Background folder , then delete the original background .bik and rename Intro.bik to Back1.bik

I'll give it a try, but what is the result of changing the data text??
