I upped the graphics in SH4UBM and now when it gets to the menu screen I get the shutdown of the video. "Out Of Range" error message
SH3 gets through to load screen and hangs.
Updated drivers etc...
Is there a safe mode switch?
I'm wondering if you're trying to use too high a screen resolution.:hmmm:

Your graphics problem might be easier for others to diagnose if you included some basic system info. Your asking for a blind diagnosis without including info like, your system specs, RAM, graphics card. Give us some more info to work with and maybe somebody will be able to offer a solution.;)

I know it's the resolution in game but I just wanna get back in to turn the res down. Is there a safe mode switch?

You could try going into My Documents/SH4/data/cfg and open the main.cfg file. Go down to where it says [VIDEO] and try changing the resolution there manually.

So it's in there. Cool. That's what I was after.
Thanks mang.
[VIDEO]
Resolution=1024,768,60,22
DynamicShadows=No
FullScreen=Yes
Synchronized=No
TextureResolutionHigh=Yes
Seems ok? What's the 22?

Honestly, I have no idea what the 22 is for.

Fixed
I reinstalled the monitor drivers, uninstalled again and didn't save the game files and changed the install directory. Somehow I changed the resolution to something insane.
The nhancer thingy is very recommended.
Thanks and sorry for the copy paste.

I'm a little confused. How did you go about changing the graphics settings in the first place?:hmmm: The only areas where I've ever changed them is in my graphics card's control panel or through the Graphics Settings menu in SHIV.

Apparently in the Graphics Options menu. But the cfg said it was at normal res. It was weird but very fixed and a BIG thimbs up to the nHancer.
