You constantly cut and paste this stuff. I don't mind, but why do you never comment on it yourself?

Gerald

Cut and paste is a simple way sometimes, not always i use myself of it, to comment on what I post, it's all right if I find it relevant, or nice....:yep:............but that there are constant posts, from Life that I disagree with, :shifty:

Maybe just a good year for him. There are probably a dozen or more people out there who have done more to influence civilization. :haha:

If you don't find it relevant, or nice, or you disagree with it, why post it at all? Or why not comment on that. It just seems weird to me when someone posts a link but doesn't think it's worth talking about.

All human beings are not equal, and everyone has different tastes, so to post something that is not to my taste with perhaps perceived positively by someone else, it may not necessarily be screwed, but as always it is up to the viewer.

Personally I think Vendor is a bot, but sometimes, possibly with a human handler:arrgh!:

It just seems weird to me when someone posts a link but doesn't think it's worth talking about.I think you just misunderstand him. If I understand correctly, he does find these topics relevant or interesting. That's why he posts them.
Also, Vendor often does comment on it after a few posts.

Just my 2 cents:)

Steve is right. You should do more than just post a link.

Seriously, he's a forum bot. Since Vendor's not selling anything, I guess he's hosted by Neal.

is this about *Good* People, or just a this person lived during this year thing? cause Adolf Hitler is in there.

1982's person of the year...The Computer! wait, what?!

Is that not what I said? You have the right to post anything you like, and I wouldn't want to inhibit that in any way. I merely posted my own opinion, which is that I find it odd that you put up all these links but never seem to actually care about them enough to say something yourself.

Just my opinion.

I think you just misunderstand him. If I understand correctly, he does find these topics relevant or interesting. That's why he posts them.

Fair enough. I've been wrong before. It just got to me this time.

Doh! I just realized you're talking about my post count! I never look at it. Now that I have, I realize that almost 10k times I could have done something more productive but decided not to! :DL

As was The Ayatollah Khomeini. The "Person Of The Year" is meant to be the person who had the biggest influence on world events that year, nothing more.

1938 Hitler :o

I think Steve's point is well taken. There should be more to starting a thread than just <copy paste>. The OP should add something to actually sparks a discussion.

Imagine if we were at a party. I, out of the clear blue, stated "The chief export of Peru is Tin", and nothing else. That is not a good way to start a conversation. :nope: People around me would probably stop talking and stare at me. :stare:

So, to the OP, Why did you think this was interesting to post? What are your feelings on this? Are you in favour of this decision, or not in favour of this decision. If you are going to start a thread, you should be willing to start the conversation.

To quote Dr. Evil, "Throw us a frickin bone here!".

Nah, I dont mind if he's just posting the links. He's like a local subsim newspaper, you read the title of an article and if you like it then you read the rest of the article, there is no summary just a... summary... like.... header under the title.... hmmmmmmm:hmmm:

Sorry Vendor, tried to help but was defeated by my own logic :88)

I understood it. It's like watching a news program that just reports the news (no experts, opinions, etc.), then leaves the viewers to discuss their own thoughts on the subject. :DL

you are arguing with an algorithm. Accept it for what it is. At least these topics posted by Vendor spread the topics out from 'Obama is the evils' threads

Seriously, he's a forum bot. Since Vendor's not selling anything, I guess he's hosted by Neal. I think you should share your thoughts with Neal, and tell them you think that I and my posting is bot-related, (or a bot) and that the Vendor "may" constitute a threat to the forum in the way he acts, send a PM, I think the answer will not be the way you want it.

joegrundman

i don't think you are a threat. Nice to see your grammar has improved:salute:

:D @ Platapus can be said that this is not about "just" cut and paste, when a new topic is out so will the text and link of course, all that I minimize the content to not make it to a whole page, so admission was done manually and not just a matter of routine as it is argued here, cut and paste,no way!

Hoping the weather will hold clear till at least the 26th. Winter hasn't really settled in just yet. By this time last year we were digging out every couple of days, and then the freezing rains shut down the highways north for the duration of Christmas. Didn't get to see the whole family then so hopefully this year will give us better driving conditions. :yep:
