No, the spammers don't care what you say as long as you check out their products. They don't read the forums, and they may not even sign up themselves - just let their little bots do it for them.

We had a read & type thingie for awhile, but it was only on the Search board, and was the worst one of it's type I've ever seen. Block the accounts, and if people want they can use a different email setup.
