I'm sure somewhere, someone has posted this link but I have to admit I haven't searched the thousands of threads on this site.
This is a link to a site that plays WWII music 24 hours a day. If you're only interested in the music and not the radio announcements, this might be ideal to run in the background while playing SH :)

Jimbuna made some music packs for SH3. It has all kinds of genres for those times. You can find them in the Subsim download section for SH3, soundfx section: they are called "SH3 Oggvorbis" followed by a sequence number. They also contain German songs so if you don't want that you'd have to do some pruning of those packs.
