We finally released our first single on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/album/waar-de-wind-hem-brengt-single/id408689591). While it's a dutch track, I hope you enjoy it.

Here's a clip we made:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38dTYX_corg&hd=1

The clip itself is a bit amaturistic (since we made it with cheap camera's and edited ourselfs) but it's a start to hopefully something better. The video also contains shots of one of the stages which we won a spot for (also thanks to Subsim votees).

Next week our second time on 3FM, a major dutch radio show.

We are still working on our website and social media, so don't expect anything great there yet...

Hope you like! And for dutch/belgian people specifically (but everyone is welcome), join us on FB, YT, Twitter etc. :] We need the followers/fans!

The multi-talented Skwasjer! It is a nice sound. I do not understand a lick of the language but the melody is certainly top notch. Good luck friend!

I like the music very much, and I don't say that about modern music easily :DL (For me the 80s were the top music-wise)

If you guys would sing in english, I'm sure your great sound would spread amazingly and get lots of success

BTW who are you in the group? :hmmm:

Normaal hou ik van iets zwaardere rock, maar zeker goed:up: Zet 'm op, jongens!

If you guys would sing in english, I'm sure your great sound would spread amazingly and get lots of success :up:Nope, definitely keep singing in Dutch. There are already too many English speaking bands. Of course it's my personal taste, but generally I prefer bands that sing in their native language to bands that do not.

He's Martijn Bodeman, one of the two guitar players (not bass). So that'd be the rhythm guitarist if I read the youtube description correctly?

OK, for all you non-Dutchmen that cannot understand anything of it, I've made a quick translation:

--Where the wind brings him--

The thought brought him further than
anyone else would ever go
It doesn't matter what the other does,
but what he did

The difference with being rusted solid
doing what he means
Tell the one you're lost
and follow his feeling

And he,
is the man who leaves you standing [or "the man you leave standing", darn Dutch grammar:damn:]
And he,
is the man who's different,
the man who's different

He leaves for where the wind brings him
so he never comes too late
And the time, the sun will tell
the reason that he leaves

So I wait here till he's back
look forward to his story
Then it's time to go myself
for a price I happily pay

And he,
is the man who leaves you standing
And he,
is the man who's different,
the man who's different

[solo]

And he,
is the man who leaves you standing
And he,
is the man who's different,
the man who's different

And he,
is the man who leaves you standing
And he,
is the man who's different,
the man who's different

Our album should be out April 2011. Of course I will spam it again by then ;)

We also seek a booking agency and we already have contacts to produce a more professional music video, so we 'should' only go up from here.

In the past we did do English songs (in a different formation/band), but as DarkFish already said, it's hard to compete with English songs because of artists from England/US (and anywhere else) and then there's pronounciation and lack of English vocabulary (which will usually lead to silly, simple lyrics), so that will always a challenge. Dutch songs isn't easier per se to score a hit with, since many Dutch people prefer English songs over Dutch, but we still believe there's a niche for our music. We only need the break :)

Stick with what makes you guys happy as your base; the listeners will follow. I can't speak word one of the Dutch language, but that doesn't prevent me from liking your sound and presence. And who knows? Maybe I'll learn something else along the way.

You guys have a very clean, clear sound - not at all cluttered with background crap and useless fills - and I like that. I'm looking forward to hearing more!

And I do hope you get it Mate!
I spent years trying to do what you have going.
(There was no Internet to help then)
And finally gave up.
:nope:
I have not played a Guitar in over 15 years!
I could tell some scary stories and great stories of my years with Bands.
But even I can't believe some of them.
:haha:

Drive on Mate!

I LOVE your sound and will figure out the words sooner or later.

Great sound, don't need to know the translation - will get it from iTunes when I'm back in work next week, and I'll get my youtube/google account sorted to post reply :D

Maybe some songs in English, but not all - got to keep some air of mystery :yep:

Thanks :]

We may do some translations next year or write some new English-only songs as we've had some requests to come to CA and perform there (I have some relatives too there, one of them is a pussycatdoll ;D).
That would be awesome.

The downside is it will cost us ~9K euro on travelcosts alone (incl. a tech and cameraman), excluding motel, food, beer and transport costs of our equipment... (and obviously some extra cash for a new Les Paul or Tele :))
Tips for sponsors anyone? :O:

The band's sound is excellent. Singing is excellent as well. When I hear your music it immediatly reminds me of a few songs by Pat Metheny Group.

Needs more cowbell. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/More_cowbell) :D

Seriously, very nicely done my friend. When it's done right, making music is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's all about the touch. You and your guys sound like you've hit the sweet spot. Play on!

Hehe, exactly, we originally had a teaser vid with 'more cowbell' references, but YouTube took it down due to copyright (we had that song mixed in for like 15secs) ;D

Thanks for the heads up!
