Why is it that General Topics end up being political ones? How does taking out one party or another help the situation one bit?

see I can say hurtful and semi un-based statements as well to (even though fascism often embraces a corporatist attitude, which is much similar to the republican party, and certainly better than relating the walking undead to the democratic party).

True, that. Still, I hate seeing otherwise sane, respectable people turn into vitriolic serpents spitting hate at each other.

IMHO the best course of action for any American to get what they want in the country is to play one side against the other instead of both sides playing us against each other.

The sane, respectable people on these boards don't do that. It's the ones who are convinced of their own innate rightness who claim to be in the middle while they blame the other side, all the while never seeing just how far off-center they really are.
