I've been searching around the Enigma Flotilla page, and it looks semi-active. I have to admit though, all the threads that I've lurked through have left me scratching my head.

So far as I can tell the Enigma Flotilla uses actual encoded engima messages to one another...but I'm not sure for what...:hmmm:
So, may I ask what the Enigma Flotilla is all about and if it's still going strong? It looks like something I might want to get into.

It's about creating a living Bdu with staff members you can communicate with using enigma. You can ask for missions and be directed to hot zones.

I was somewhat part of it as my Spinnennetz website was used to direct players to hunting grounds. And for players to report sightings and such.

I have been absent for some time and it seems to be out of operation now.

Although it was a good idea basically and some ppl put an enormous amount of time and energy into it, it never really run smoothly, due to the confusing presentation imho.

I actually have gotten in contact with a few members about it, and it's starting up again. You should most definitely rejoin! A new website is being created and I think this one will be more successful. There are already 4-5 members.

We are highly active now as "The Devils of The Deep". We do use Canovaro's mod showing where are U-Boots are.

As Canovaro indicated we dispatch our own U-boots, we send operational reports by the Enigma Machine and in many threads we use German. We want to put our feet in the shoes of a real U-Boot Cmdr.


BTW: Jack you once applied to join and we still have you listed as a MIA U-Boot Cmdr.
